Anne Rowe residing in Alabama of the
USA was gifted an Apple Watch Series 4 by her beloved husband last year and she
calls it as her life savior and personal medical examiner. According to the
reports from several sites, she has a medical history of asthmatic conditions
and was showing the symptoms of Atrial Fibrillation. According to an online source, AF is an irregular,
rapid heart rate that may cause symptoms like heart palpitations, fatigue, and
shortness of breath. AF occurs when the upper chambers of the heart (atria)
beat out of rhythm. In this case, Apple Watch reportedly noticed heartbeats and
its rhythm precisely, leading Rowe to visit her doctor timely. Rowe reportedly
has had open heart surgery and that has helped her from facing any emergency
like fatal heart stroke and other heart problems.
ECG (Electro Cardiogram) is one of
the most important features of Apple’s smartwatch. It regularly checks and presents
the chart of the heart rate in its App on iPhone or iPad. So you can check any
irregularity in your heartbeats and concern with your doctor. Apple always
ensures that its Apple Watch is designed to measure your health and it helps to
avoid any medical emergency. Since the introduction of the Apple Watch, the ECG
feature of it has been critically by medical experts. It may sound unimportant
to you if you have you are young and fit but after a certain age human heart is
likely to become weak and Apple Watch’s this features may help to prevent fatal
heart problems. In Rowe’s case, Apple Watch tracked her irregular heartbeats
which alarmed her to visit her cardiologist and prevented her from severe heart
problems. This isn’t the first case where Apple Watch has been credited as a
lifesaver for patients or any user. There are several reports in which users
are claiming that Apple Watch has helped them many problems and warn them to
visit doctors soon which have helped to avoid the emergency in advance.
Now, Apple is planning to refresh its
Watch Series with the Apple
Watch Series 5. According to several speculations regarding Apple’s
September event, Apple
Watch Series will be launched along with iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro
next month. There are not many expectations to get change in the features of
the smartwatch but there are some changes in the body and look. At Apple’s WWDC event, watchOS
6 was revealed and is scheduled to release this fall along with iOS
13, tvOS,
and macOS Catalina. watchOS 6 has brought some
dedicated features for women like Cycle Tracking and recording voice memo. It will also bring an
App Store dedicated to Apple Watch only. With such news in the market, it seems
that Apple’s statement about its product helping its users in every aspect of
lifestyle is proving right.
