Apple has released the second build version of iOS 12.1.2 to the public. The firm has released this update just after 3 days of its original debut on Monday. It is absolutely true that the second build of iOS 12.1.2 will be available to users who haven’t installed the first one. Hence, all the users who have already updated previously this week, will not receive the second build update. The original debut update contains the bug fixes for iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max.
As per details, changelog is almost the same in the second build. But, as per detailed shared by AppleInsider, the first build version number was 16C101, however, the second build-version number is 16C104.
Apple hasn’t mentioned any reason about why they have re-released the iOS 12.1.2 update. But, the new build might contain some of the features which are not there in the previous release.
As mentioned earlier, iOS 12.1.2 update was released on Monday with some fixes related to eSIM activation on the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max. The latest build version is being released to solve the cellular connectivity issue in Turkey, especially in the latest iPhone models.

One more thing to mention, iOS 12.1.2 update, doesn’t contain any of the security updates. The latest update consists of some important software changes to solve the issue of Apple’s compliance with a court order which banned the sales of older iPhone models. The update consists of a new animation which allows force closing apps in China, based on China-specific changelog.
How to update to iOS 12.1.2?
Firstly, iOS 12.1.2 is applicable to all the latest iPhone models. In order to update to latest version, go to Settings-> General -> Software Update and then simply follow the instructions given on your screen.
