Fortnite is a part of the Epic game which was previously available on the Apple store. However, after the huge fallout from Apple, there were still some rumors that Fortnite may join Apple again but there is some twist to it. In the year 2022, thanks to Nvidia’s streaming game service which has changed its name to GeForce is now launching Fortnite again through cloud gaming. This means, it will be available for iOS but also Android users can enjoy playing this game.

It is expected that iOS users can enjoy Fortnite on their Apple iPhones in 2022 through GeForce Now. It is a famous cloud gaming platform. Currently, the game is under the Best test, and registration for the players is open for now. This means you don’t have to pay a single penny to play this incredible game. There are so many games that come on the market each year but to date; Fortnite has always been on the top.
As Nvidia is launching the cloud gaming service for both Android and iOS devices, users can access a library of games, such as Epic Games’ Fortnite. It might allow iOS players to play Fortnite by using the browser of their choice. However, gamers might not enjoy the best experience as the game would be available as a beta test.
Different factors contributed to the success of this game such as the free download and its engaging theme. But with the popularity comes some more challenges. And one such crucial time was when Fornite and Apple had got into a major battle and this time it was not in the virtual world but in the actual court.
What the fuss is all about?
Presently Fortnite which is a popular Battle Royale game is getting back on the iOS platform after it had a ban on the same platform for more than a year. In the year 2020, Fortnite was made available through the Apple App Store. But the epic game came up with a payment option that did not pass through the App Store. Because of this, Apple decided to ban the game. After its ban, iPhone users were not able to play or even download the game through the Apple App Store. It was then Epic game decided to file a complaint against Apple on this issue.
How does the whole problem start?
It has been quite some time now since Fortnite is not a part of the Apple App Store. This partnership was going great until the time Epic game came up with its payment terms which were added within the game. This move was not an accident but a business plan as they offered the game at a cost-friendly price. However, for Apple, this wasn’t fine and the tech giant did not entertain it at all. Rather they demanded a 30% commission for the same which Fortnite denied by claiming such an approach to be anti-competitive.
That is when the developer team of Fortnite decided to sue Apple claiming that this tech giant is simply violating the laws of antitrust. The court ruled out that Apple will not be able to stop its developers from adding links for other payment options other than the App Store. Epic tea had challenged Apple for its stringent rule of payment method but later the company got removed from Apple no matter what the final ruling from the court has come out as.

There is still no prominent answer on whether Fortnite will be back on Apple again but considering the demand that Fortnite is getting and also that Epic had agreed to Apple rules; it will soon be reintroduced but only on iOS and not on the Apple store.
