Where Do FaceTime Photos Go On iOS 15?

Where Do FaceTime Photos Go

Apple’s operating systems stand out when it comes to user’s privacy. As an iPhone user, I mostly talk with my colleagues and friends on FaceTime video calls. It helped me to stay connected with people during the lockdown. During the FaceTime call, I also click Love Photo of some necessary stuff. At the time, I also wonder where do FaceTime photos go on iOS 15.

Apple’s FaceTime app allows users to take Live Photos during the call with the help of the shutter button. After taking screenshots or Live Photos in FaceTime call, most users end up with where to find FaceTime photos on iPhone as they are not aware where FaceTime does store photos. After dozens of FaceTime calls and meetings, I used to it and found where to find FaceTime photos.

FaceTime Live Photos feature let users take Live Photo on FaceTime call. Once you take the screenshot, it directly goes to the Photos app. You can open the Photo app, go to the bottom of the Photo tab and select the All Photos section. Under the All Photos section without any filter, you can scroll down the date when you capture the pictures and find FaceTime photos on your iPhone.

  3. Tap All Photos.

  5. Or you can also go to the Album and open the Live Photos section to find the FaceTime captured photos.

You can also create a new and specific album to save FaceTime live photos. But you can only do it on Mac. To do that, open the Photo app > click Plus icon next My Album > Choose Smart Album and use the dropdown menu to Lens includes FaceTime. And then, enter FaceTime into the third box and click OK.

Can’t Take Live Photo in FaceTime call?

If you cannot take Live Photo during FaceTime, then maybe the FaceTime Live Photo option is not turned ON. You need to check it in the Settings > FaceTime and FaceTime Live Photos. Also, you need to make sure that you are running the latest version of the FaceTime app.
