How To Pair PS4 or Xbox controller with your iPhone or iPad (iOS 13)

Step #1: First, you need to put your controller into pairing mode. 

On PS4 Controller: To do that, press and hold its “Share” button to the left of the touchpad, then also hold the middle “PlayStation” button then the light bar at the top of the controller will start to wink, an indicator that it’s looking for a device to pair up with.

On Xbox One Controller: Turn on the controller by holding down the Xbox button in the middle. Once it lights up, click and hold the connect button on the top of the controller, near the bumpers, until the Xbox logo blinks.

Step #2: On your iPhone or iPad, go to the Settings and then Bluetooth. There you can see your available PS4 or Xbox wireless controller.

Step #3: Tap on the right option to pair, and once it paired, the light bar at the top of the DualShock 4 will become pink and the Xbox controller’s backlit middle button will stop blinking and remain illuminated.

Step #4: That’s all!

How To Pair PS4 or Xbox controller with your Apple TV (tvOS 13)

Step #1: Open the “Settings” app on the Apple TV home screen, and then scroll down to “Remotes and Devices” and click into that option.

Step #2: Now scroll down until you find “Bluetooth,” and then click into it. 

Here you will get a guide “How to pair game controllers” option on the next page. Read if you want to know, but otherwise, if your controller is in pairing mode, it will appear under the “Other Devices” section of this Bluetooth connection screen. So just select the controller.

Step #3: Once your controller is connected, you can use it in place of Apple’s included remote.
