How To Move iOS 16 Lock Screen Notifications On Top

The latest edition of Apple’s iOS 16 has many major improvements and redesigned features. I have seen people love to personalize their lock screen. It is too charming to show depth effect wallpaper on the iPhone lock screen. However, many geeks are annoyed when they see the notifications at the bottom of stack.

Yes, Apple has also redesigned the Notification settings. After installing iOS 16 on iPhone, the default settings of notifications show at the bottom of the lock screen. Many users wrote on Twitter that it looks so ugly on the cool lock screen of the iPhone. Thankfully, there is a way to change lock screen notifications on top of iOS 16. If you are not a fan of iOS 16’s stack notification on the bottom, check out these steps to show information on top of iOS 16 lock screen like the earlier iOS 15 version.

How To Change iOS 16 Lock Screen Notifications On Top

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap on Notifications.
  3. Choose “List” from the Display As section.

Along with the List option under the Display section, there are two other options available-Count and Stack. When you select List, you will get back old Notifications from iOS 15 on your iPhone’s lock screen.

The Stack option is default enabled when you install iOS 16; it will show notifications in Stack at the bottom of the lock screen. User should swipe up from the bottom notifications to show in iOS 16 notification displays as List.

The Count option will also show notifications on the bottom of the screen in numbers. But you can swipe up to the Count or tap on it to get Notification in the list on iOS 16 lock screen.

That’s how the new iOS 16’s new Notification settings work. For me, the new stack notification is better if you don’t want to spoil the charm of your personalized lock screen of iOS 16. Because list notifications will cover the device’s entire screen and steal the show, it would be better to keep iOS 16 notifications at the bottom to keep the lock screen enchanting.
