Apple has recently announced iOS 17 update and users can’t wait to get their hands on this latest update. the iOS 17 beta has released, and there are many rumours going around that there are some features and apps that are missing out. And its true, not every feature that has been listed will be available right from the start. There are many missing things here but lets just focus on one app right now. Journal app is missing from iOS 17, is it true is it false, that is what we are here to find out. Let’s get started!

IOS 17 beta has already given us the glimpse of what the official update might look like. We have the list of features, but the journal app did not make the cut in the beta release. The journal app was supposed to be the new feature for iOS 17, but when the beta version was released, it was not available.

What is the journal app iOS 17?

The Journal app for iPhone is a new journaling app for iOS that allows iPhone users to regularly log their daily activities. The app is designed to serve as a digital diary app allowing users to create multimedia snapshots of their day, whether through text, images, people, places, or even Apple Fitness activities and music. The app uses on-device machine learning to curate personalized suggestions for users to commemorate within their digital journal, pulling information from contacts, pictures, music, workouts, location data, and more. The Journal app is private and end-to-end encrypted, and users can control what device data is used to generate Journal’s content.

Is iOS 17 Journal app missing?

It was suppose to be the highlight of all features but the release date is uncertain, and Apple has not been saying anything about its launch and release date. The only thing that Apple has confirmed is that the journal app will eventually become available on iPhones with iOS 17. We can assume that if we did not get it with iOS 17 beta, maybe we can get it with other versions of beta, or during the official release. However, it’s evident that the app might not be part of the initial iOS 17 rollout. The Apple website’s Journal page may change its course andwe can also get it later in the year.

To understand this timeline better, we can look back at past releases. The Freeform app for iPadOS 16, for instance, was introduced three months after the release of iPadOS 16, in December 2022. By looking at this it can be suggested that the Journal app might follow a similar pattern. So, we can predict that the journal app will come on our iPhones in December 2023.
