New emojis:
iOS 16.4 will introduce 21 new emoji characters based on Unicode 15.0, which include a shaking head, pink heart, blue heart, grey heart, donkey, moose, blackbird, goose, wing, jellyfish, hyacinth, pea pod, ginger, fan, comb, flute, and maracas. You can also choose from six skin tone variations for the pushing hand gestures.

Alwayson display filter for Focus mode:
If you have an iPhone 14 or 14 Pro with an always-on display feature that shows widgets and notifications on your screen even when it is locked, you will be able to apply a Focus mode filter with iOS 16.4. This will help you reduce distractions and focus on your tasks by limiting what is shown on your always-on display.
Podcasts channels:
The Apple Podcasts app will get a new section dedicated to channels with iOS 16.4. This means that you can browse and discover all the podcasts offered by a single provider in one place on your iPhone.
iOS 16.4 release date
Apple has not announced an official release date for iOS 16.4 yet but it is expected to be available for download sometime in late March or early April this year.

To download iOS 16.4 when it is released by Apple:
- Make sure your iPhone is connected to a Wi-Fi network and has at least 50% battery charge
- Go to Settings.
- Go to the General tab.
- Click on the Software Update.
- Tap on Download and Install when you see the iOS 16.4 update available.
- Agree to the terms and conditions when prompted.
- Wait for the update to be downloaded and installed on your iPhone.
