How to turn off iPhone 12

Turning off the iPhone 12 can be done via a couple of methods. The easiest way to turn off the iPhone 12 is to hold the Side button along with one of the volume buttons until the slide to power off slider appears at the top of the screen. Then just slide to power off your iPhone.

You can also go to Settings ,then General,then scroll down to bottom of the page, and tap the Shut Down option. This will cause the ‘slide to power off’  slider to appear on top of the screen.

To power your iPhone 12 back up, press and hold the Side button until the logo of Apple appears on screen. If this does not work then  your iPhone may need to be charged. If your iPhone has a black screen and the Side button does not function, it could be because your iPhone 12 is in DFU mode.

First Quickly press and release the volume up button then do the same with volume down button.

  • Press and hold down the side button.
  • When the logo of Apple appears, release the side button.
