How to make a group chat on iPhone

STEP 1: Enable Group Messaging

1. Go to settings app on your iPhone.
2. Click on Messages.
3. Go to SMS/ MMS section and find Group Messaging tab.
4. Enable Group Messaging option.

STEP 2: Set The Icon

1. Go to Messages app on your iPhone.
2. On the upper right corner click on compose new message icon.
3. You may either type the names of the contacts you want to add or press the Plus icon to search your Contacts list for them.
4. In the message field type whatever message, you wish to send.
5. Click on the send icon once you are done.

STEP 3: ADD A NAME TO YOUR GROUP CHAT:

1. Go to Messages app on your iPhone.
2. Go to your group chat.
3. At the top of your screen click on group info.
4. Under photo icon click on Change name and photo.
5. Enter a new name for the group in the Enter a Group Name area.
6. On this screen, you may also choose a new image for the group chat.
7. In the top-right corner click on Done option.

STEP 4:  ADD PEOPLE TO YOUR GROUP CHAT:

It is possible to add members in your group chat after creating it.

1. Open Messages app on your iPhone.
2. Go to your group chat.
3. At the top of your screen click on group info.
4. Click on the number of people to add member.
5. Tap on plus icon / add contact button.
6. Add person’s name or select it from your contact list by clicking on plus icon.
7. When you have completed adding people in your group message chat, click on Done.

STEP 5: REMOVE PEOPLE FROM YOUR GROUP CHAT:

It is quite easy if you want to remove certain people from your group chat. Follow the steps given below to do so.

1. Open Messages app on your iPhone.
2. Go to your group chat.
3. At the top of your screen click on group info.
4. Click on the number of people to remove any member.
5. On the person’s name, swipe left.
6. When you swipe left on that person’s name you will see a Remove option.
7. Click on the Remove button.

STEP 6: EXIT FROM YOUR GROUP CHAT:

If you no longer wish to be in the group chat, you can simply leave by following the steps given below.

1. Open Messages app on your iPhone.
2. Go to your group chat.
3. At the top of your screen click on group info.
4. Scroll down until to find the option of leave conversation.
5. Click on leave this conversation tab to exit group chat.
6. Click again on the pop up to confirm.
