If you have recently bought the new iPhone 12 Pro or iPhone 12 Pro Max for the photography purpose, we have one good news for you. Now your photography level will be enhanced by activating ProRAW photo format on iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max.

Once you turn on this feature, you will be able to take advantage of Apple’s Deep Fusion and Smart HDR for noise reduction and multi-frame exposure adjustments. Also, it gives more control over adjusting details such as color, details, and dynamic range of the ProRAW image.

How To Turn ON ProRAW Image Option on iPhone 12 in iOS 14

Note: ProRAW photo format option is only available on the device with iOS 14.3 version. So make sure you have installed it on your iPhone 12.

Step #1: Launch the Settings app on your iPhone.

Step #2: Scroll down to Camera and tap on it.

Step #3: In the Camera settings, tap on Format.

Step #4: Under the Camera Capture, you will see a new Photo Capture option with the new Apple ProRAW. So turn the toggle on.

Step #5: Once you enable this option, you will see a new RAW toggle on the Camera app’s upper right corner. You can tap on that toggle to enable it quickly to take pictures in ProRAW format. Every photo capture by ProRAW will have a size of around 25 MB.

According to Apple, ProRAW gives you all the standard RAW information, along with the Apple image pipeline data. So you can get a head start on editing, with noise reduction and multi-frame exposure adjustments already in place — and have more time to tweak color and white balance.

It’s time to take some pictures with ProRAW quality on the premium iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. As for now, this option is available on iOS 14.3 beta version, which will soon rollout if you need more tips for camera settings on iPhone 12.
