How To Connect Apple Pencil To iPad or iPad Pro 2021

Connect Apple Pencil To iPad

Apple’s iPad models are great for students and artists. With the help of Apple’s stylus Apple Pencil, users can get more from the device. Last week, I also bought an iPad Pro for my niece, but I got stuck trying to pair Apple Pencil 2 with iPad Pro.

As I have never used an iPad before, I was unfamiliar with pairing Apple Pencil with an iPad. Hence, I had to ask one of Apple geeks about the pairing process. And then, I found that it was so easy peasy. It depends on which iPad model you are using. Connecting Apple Pencil with iPad Pro is like charging Apple Pencil with an iPad. Let me show you the full process in this post.

How To Pair Apple Pencil To iPad

We have explain two method below for iPad first and second model.

How to Connect Apple Pencil 1 or 2 To iPad 1st Gen Model

  1. Unscrew the cap on the back of the Pencil.
  2. Plug it into your iPad’s charging port.
  3. Now unlock your iPad.
  4. Now you will Pair popup; tap on it.
  5. That’s it.

How to Connect Apple Pencil 1 or 2 To iPad 2st Gen Model

  1. Latch the Apple Pencil onto the magnetic connector on your iPad’s side.
  2. Next, your iPad will show the Pair button.
  3. Tap on the Pair option.
  4. That’s it.

These were both methods to connect Apple Pencil 1 or 2 with iPad or new iPad Pro models. Once the Pencil is paired, you need to restart your iPad, turn on Airplane mode or connect Pencil to another iPad to disconnect it.

Similarly, there are many third-party Pencils are working on iPad. You can follow the same steps to paid third-party Pencil to iPad models.

I hope you followed the above steps and connected your Apple Pencil with your newly bought iPad models. Have you started using Pencil on iPad? How do you feel now? Don’t forget to share your feedback in the comment box.
