EZFN iOS: How to Install and Use it on iPhones

mm

EZFN is a third-party Fortnite server that allows players to access older versions of Fortnite that are no longer available through official channels. Installing EZFN on iOS devices is a bit more complicated than on other platforms, but it can be done through a few different methods.

How to Install EZFN on iOS Devices

The easiest way to install EZFN on an iPhone or iPad is by using a computer with iTunes or Sideloadly. This allows you to sideload the EZFN IPA file directly onto your device. Here are the steps:

  1. Download and install iTunes or Sideloadly on your computer.
  2. Connect your iOS device to the computer via USB.
  3. Download the EZFN IPA file for the version you want to install.
  4. Open Sideloadly/iTunes and drag the IPA file onto your device.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts and enter your Apple ID when asked.
  6. Once installed, go to Settings => General => Device Management and trust the EZFN certificate.

This method is the easiest way to get EZFN onto your iOS device. However, you’ll need to reconnect to your computer every 7 days to re-sign the app or it will stop working.

You can also install EZFN completely wirelessly through a signing service like Signulous or AppDB. These services essentially do the same process of sideloading the IPA file, but remotely through the internet instead of a USB connection. The only catch is you’ll need to purchase a subscription for the signing service.

Finally, it is possible to install EZFN on iOS without a computer using just the device itself. This is the most complex method, requiring you to download and trust an enterprise certificate directly on your iPhone or iPad. Here are the basic steps:

  1. Download the EZFN enterprise certificate configuration profile.
  2. Open the profile in Settings and trust it.
  3. Download and install the EZFN app from the enterprise certificate.
  4. Trust the new EZFN app certificate in Settings.

This method is more unreliable since Apple can easily revoke the enterprise certificate. You’ll likely need to repeat the process every few days as certificates get blacklisted. But it works in a pinch if you can’t use a computer or signing service.

EZFN Features and Experience on iOS

Once installed through one of these methods, the EZFN experience on iOS is very similar to the PC version. You can access all of the same old seasons and content as long as your device meets the minimum specs. Here are some of the key features available in EZFN for iOS:

  • Old Battle Pass Skins – Access battle pass skins from seasons 1-X that are no longer obtainable. This includes rare skins like Renegade Raider, Black Knight, Omega, etc.
  • Limited Time Modes – Play vaulted LTMs like 50v50, Soaring 50s, One Shot, and more.
  • Old Map Versions – Drop onto classic map locations from seasons 1-X like Tilted Towers, Dusty Depot, Starry Suburbs, and other forgotten zones.
  • Custom Cosmetics – Equip custom community-made skins, pickaxes, back blings, and other cosmetics.
  • Private Matches – Host your own custom matches with friends on any season’s map and settings.
  • Developer Options (Premium) – Unlock extra features like bot lobbies, infinite mats, and more with a EZFN premium subscription.

Performance and gameplay feel nearly identical to the official Fortnite app when using a newer iPhone or iPad. Even on older devices like the iPhone 7 or iPad Air 2, the game runs surprisingly well with only minor graphical downgrades.

The only notable disadvantage to the iOS version is that you cannot use officially licensed controllers like the PS4, Xbox, or MFi controllers due to Apple restrictions. You are limited to touch controls only. But touch gameplay is still very optimized and plays smoothly.

Final Words

Installing EZFN on your iPhone or iPad lets you re-experience Fortnite’s glory days on mobile. While the installation process is a bit tricky, the payoff is huge for nostalgic iOS players. User reviews confirm EZFN delivers an authentic, smooth old-school Fortnite experience on mobile. Just be prepared to re-sign apps weekly and you’ll be cranking 90’s in no time.
