Fortunately, it’s simple to designate all of your unread messages as read in the blink of an eye, although the option is a little concealed. Apple has given its users an option to mark the text as read without even opening the message with just one simple click.   1. Go to the messaging app on your iPhone device.
  2. Tap on the 3 dot icon at the top right corner of your screen.
  3. Tap on the Select Messages option.
  4. Click on the read all option at the bottom left corner of the screen.
  5. If you want to mark only some text as read then select the message thread and then click on read option.

How to iOS 16 mark text as read: iPad

  1. Launch Messages app on your iPad device.
  2. Click on the edit button in the upper left corner of the screen.
  3. Tap on the Select Messages option.
  4. Click on the read all option at the bottom left corner of the screen.
  5. If you want to mark only some text as read then select the message thread and then click on the read option.

How to iOS 16 mark text as read: WhatsApp

  1. Open WhatsApp on your iPhone.
  2. Click on the edit option in the top left corner of your screen.
  3. Click on all the chats that you want to mark as read.
  4. At the bottom of your screen tap on the Read option.
  5. Tap on done at the end.
  6. To mark individual text as read without even opening it, swipe right to the chat.
  7. Tap on the read button.
  8. This will mark the chat as read even when you did not open the message.
