Hola folk! Have you ever heard of Live Listen feature on iOS? If not then you are in here for a treat. This is an amazing feature also it has not reported any bugs yet. Apple has made a new feature that allows you to use your iPhone as a listening device. Still not convinced how awesome this feature is? Let me tell you more about it.
The concept behind Live Listen is that it may be used by those who are hard of hearing or require extra help differentiating sounds in a noisy area, but it can also be used in other ways, such as a baby monitor or spying on someone in another room. People have been eavesdropping on conversations and spying on others using their AirPods and iPhones! That’s crazy, isn’t it?
HOW TO USE LIVE LISTEN iOS 15 WITHOUT AIRPODS
LIVE LISTEN: COMPATIBLE VERSIONS
Apple built live listen with Made-For-iPhone (MFi) approved hearing aids and devices. All Apple AirPods models appear to work properly. If you have AirPods, AirPods 2nd Gen, AirPods Pro, or AirPods Max, Powerbeats Pro you should be able to use Live Listen on your iOS 15.
Standard Bluetooth earbuds, do not appear to perform. All Apple AirPods versions, on the other hand, appear to operate properly.
HOW TO USE LIVE LISTEN?
First you need to add Live Listen to Control Center.
- Go to Settings > Control Center.
- On the hearing option click on Add Button.
- Save the settings.
After adding this option to Control Center, follow these steps to use Live Listen.
- Connect your device to AirPods via Bluetooth.
- Open Control Center by sliding from the corner right hand side.
- Tap on the Hearing Button > Live Listen.
- Place your device in the room or in front of a person that you want to hear. Adjust the volume accordingly.

HOW TO USE LIVE LISTEN WITHOUT AIRPODS?
There are many news speculation goings around claiming that live listen can work without AirPods. It’s simply not true. You need some kind of Bluetooth hearing device or external wired microphone connected to your iPhone to use live listen. Apple has not officially confirmed that if live listen will work with any other Bluetooth device or not. Apple said that Live Listen only works for all Apple AirPods and also Powerbeats Pro. You can even connect an external connected microphone to the Lightning connector or headphone jack on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to use Live Listen.
Still, many of the users claim that they can connect their device with iPhone via Bluetooth for Live Listen feature. Even if it gets connected, it won’t work as intended.
