Last year, Apple added the wallpaper changing feature on the beta version of iOS 14. But sadly, they could not be able to add it to the final version. After that, even after waiting for iOS 14 a year, we still got disappointment as the iPhone wallpaper automation was still missing from the device. But finally, the latest iOS 14.3 version landed this most awaited feature. With the help of the Shortcuts app, you will be able to change wallpapers automatically on your iPhone.

How To Change Wallpaper Automatically on iPhone

Note: Make sure that your iPhone is running the latest iOS 14.3 update to use this feature.

Step #1: Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

Step #2: Next, tap on Shortcuts and activate Allow Untrusted Shortcuts.

Step #3: Open any browser and download the AutoWall shortcut.

Step #4: To add the shortcuts, tap on Get Shortcuts, and it will redirect you to the Shortcuts app. Scroll down to the bottom and tap on Add Untrusted Shortcuts.

Step #5: Now go to My Shortcuts and tap on the three-dots on the AutoWall Shortcuts.

Step #6: Now tap Allow Access by tapping OK to give AutoWall permission to use all your photos.

Step #7: Select the folder next to the Album you wish to wallpaper to change automatically. The folder must be from the Photos app.

Step #8: After selecting the desired folder, tap Done to save the shortcut.

Once you are done with the above process, your device will be ready to change wallpapers on your iPhone’s background automatically. Let’s head over to activate wallpaper change automatically on iPhone.

Step #1: Launch the Shortcuts app > tap Automation > tap Create Personal Automation.

Step #2: Next, select the Time of Day option.

Step #3: Now, set the time and frequency for your automation on the next screen.

Step #4: Tap on Next, followed by tapping Add Action on the next screen.

Step #5: Search for the Run Shortcut action and select it.

Step #6: tap Shortcut and choose AutoWall from the list of available shortcuts.

Step #7: Tap Next and disable Ask Before Running to ensure that the automation is triggered automatically.

Step #8: Finally, tap Done to finish setting up the automation.

After going through these steps, when your iPhone see the time you set for the automation, it will automatically change the wallpaper on your iPhone. Hence, you can set different wallpapers for the morning, even and night according to your choice.
