Now a day iPhone have become water resistant. That is a bit relief. Even if you spill a glass or two of water it won’t damage your iPhone. I remember during the pandemic I used to see my brother coming from work and going straight to wash his iPhone 11. But it doesn’t mean that I would advise people to do so, it might be dangerous to put your iPhone through this, and also it will not stop water from entering into the speakers. Entering water from the speakers could also do equal damage.

What should you do if your iPhone gets wet?

• Do not connect the iPhone. If it’s already connected in, carefully disconnect it.
• Do not turn on your device. This can result in short circuits.
• Remove your iPhone’s case or cover, as it may contain moisture.
• Remove the SIM card as well. Water can accumulate in these crevices.
• Wipe liquid off anything you can reach with a soft absorbent towel or cloth. You may even use a toothpick or a pin to make charging points, a headphone jack, or a SIM card try.
• To clean the ports and sockets, turn the iPhone upside down and gently shake it.
• Place your iPhone in a warm, dry place.
• Each iPhone has a small indicator. The indication is a piece of plastic that glows red when exposed to too much water. You may check this indication to discover if your phone is damaged. To view inside the port, use a flashlight.

Look for a red indication in the charging port or the headphone jack on an iPhone 4S.
