The List of 118 Chinese Apps Banned In India

Banning apps now become usually in India since India’s Government started banning the number of Chinese apps. A couple of months ago, the India Government banned 59 Chinese apps and then again blocked 57 Chinese cloned apps. But now, they banned around 118 Chinese apps, which include the popular gaming apps Pubg.

On September 2, 2021, The Ministry of Information and Technology took the final decision and banned PUBG and 118 other popular Chinese apps. According to them, these apps are prejudicial to India’s integrity, sovereignty, public order, and defense.

The Ministry of Information and Technology also explained that the ministry had got many complaints about the misuse of some widely popular mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms. So we can say that these apps are the stealing and transmission of user’s data in an unauthorized manner to the servers who are possibly located outside India.

Another statement from the ministry claims that its profiling and mining by the elements hostile to National Security and Defence of India need to take a necessary step.

Among all the banned apps, Pubg Mobile has a huge following as the more than 33 million active players and 13 million users per day. After the ban, every social media platform flooded with Pubg Mobile ban memes and posts.

Well, the main reason for these Chinese apps ban is the ongoing border dispute between Chinese and India in Eastern Ladakh.
