List Of Eligible U.S. States For Apple Sales Tax Holidays on Its Products

If you are living in the U.S., then the Apple Sales Tax Holidays about to start from August 2nd and you may want to know that your state is eligible for the Apple Sales Tax Holidays 2019 or not. So, here we come to show you the list of six states of the U.S. where people will be able to purchase Apple products without sales tax.

Yesterday, Apple sent notifications to its all U.S. customers in six states about the Apple tax-free day and weekend 2019 where users can buy all Apple products Macs, iPads, and other products with reduced sales tax or no sales tax. Well, Apple has sent emails only to its Apple users, not every citizen of the country. So if you are wondering whether you are eligible for Apple’s sales tax-free holidays or not, then let’s check out the list of eligible states for Apple tax-free day 2019, or you can say Apple tax-free weekend.

Since every state of the U.S. has different rules and policies, so the tax applicable on the Apple products is varied. Hence, Apple’s price on the free tax weekend will be different in six states of the U.S. as well as the date of Apple tax holidays different. You can check these dates below:

•    Florida (August 2-6): To qualify for the tax exception, the purchase must be made during the sales tax holiday period by an individual for personal use. The sales price of exempt item cannot exceed $1,000 per item. Computers (including iPad and iPod) and computer accessories, qualify for this holiday.

•    Massachusetts (August 17-18): To qualify for the tax exception, the purchase must be made during the sales tax holiday period by an individual for personal use. All items with a sales price of $2500 or less qualify for the tax exemption.

•    Missouri (August 2-4): To qualify for the tax exception, the purchase must be made during the sales tax holiday period by an individual for personal use. The exemption is per item purchased, and local taxes may apply. Computers and related accessories with a sales price of $1500 or less qualify for this holiday. Software with a sales price of $350 or less also qualifies for the holiday.

•    New Mexico (August 2-4): To qualify for the sales tax holiday exception, the purchase must be made during the sales tax holiday period. The exemption is based on the item purchased and applies to computers sold for no more than $1000. Related accessories, such as speakers, printers, keyboards, and mice, with a sales price of no more than $500 also qualify for this holiday.

•    Virginia (August 2-4): To qualify for the tax exemption, the purchase must be made during the sales tax holiday period by an individual for personal use. The tax exemption applies to cell phone chargers and batteries with a sales price of $60 or less.
