Apple has recently released the seventh beta version of iOS 17 to developers and public beta testers. As we get closer to the public launch of iOS 17, which is most likely going to be release in next month, the changes in each beta are becoming more steady. iOS 17 beta 7 does contain some noteworthy tweaks and improvements. We all are excited to get our hand on the new iOS 17 update, and beta’s are just the thing we need to get its features beforehand. There are both pros and cons of getting beta update on iPhone device, so the ultimate choice would be yours if you want to install it or not. Since Apple has released the iOS 17 beta 7, let me talk about it and tell you more about its features and improvements. Let’s get started!

IOS 17 beta 7 features

There are many new improvements and features that iOS 17 beta 7 brought with it. Let’s take a look at what those amazing new features are.

In the Phone app, the end call button when the keypad is fully expanded now can be found at the bottom middle of the iPhone display. This matches the position of the standard end call button when the keypad is not expanded.

iOS 17 beta 6 had a bug that removed the haptic feedback vibration when toggling the mute switch on and off. Beta 7 restores this expected haptic feedback, with slightly longer vibrations that should make it easier to notice when flipping the mute switch. This change was supposed to be on the iPhone 15 Pro models, let’s see if this change is there on any other iPhone model after the official release.

The new State of Mind feature in the Health app, which allows tracking your moods, continues to see animation tweaks. The speed of the rings used in the animations representing different mood states has been made changes to in the latest iOS 17 beta 7.

IOS 17 beta 7 Issues

Yes there are new features and improvements but along with it came some issues as well.

According to CNET, there is an issue in the iOS 17 developer beta that could cripple iPhone functionality and disable calls or texts. Reddit user reported problems with stored passwords after installing iOS 17 public beta 4, indicating a flaw that caused passwords to suddenly stop working properly.

There are also reports of stability problems, but I guess those are normal since beta versions always have issues and bugs. many users also reports some of the missing feature, but we just have to wait it out for the official release since Apple is just testing these beta and may not have included those missing features in the testers.

Both developers and public beta testers can access iOS 17 beta 7 to test out the new features. Make sure to back up your device before updating to nay beta version, as early beta versions can be buggy. I suggest that you should try installing iOS 17 on a secondary because beta’s are always buggy and they are testers and not official update, it can harm your device in many ways.

That’s it folks! While the changes in beta 7 are relatively minor, previous iOS 17 betas have introduced more significant user interface tweaks. For example, new toggles, splash screens, and app icons have been added to Messages. We expect iOS 17 to be released to the public next month, likely collaborating with the new series of the iPhone 15.
