What is Live Activities?

For users looking for a live activities feature in iOS 16, it is not possible. The live activities feature wasn’t made available to the public until iOS 16.1. So if you want to use this feature then your device must be running iOS 16.1 or later. if you are having iPhone device running iOS 16, then you won’t get to take advantage of live activities feature, you need to upgrade your device to iOS 16.1 for it.
How to Turn on Live Activities?
Enabling Live Activities is a straightforward process. Here’s how to do it:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap on face ID & Passcode.
- Enter your passcode to proceed.
- Scroll down and find Allow Access When Locked.
- Toggle the switch next to Live Activities to turn it on.
How to use Live Activities?
Once you’ve enabled Live Activities, you can easily access real-time information without unlocking your phone:
- Swipe right on the Lock Screen or Dynamic Island to view Live Activities cards.
- Tap on the Live Activity to get more details or interact with it.
Note that live activities can last up to 12 hours. It will continue to operate for 8 hours straight unless the user closes the app, at which point it will be shown in activity-ended mode for the next 4 hours and then removed automatically after 12 hours.

- Select the application that you want to disable the live activities for.
- Toggle off the live activities option.
