Over the last few years, I have become a fan of the NBA team and enjoy watching every match. Also, I enjoy every match from another team, like NFL, WNBA, MLB, NHL, college football and basketball, MLS, and NWSL. But sometimes, I cannot watch the live match while working at the office. But iOS 16 has a new feature to get sports scores on the Lock Screen.
Yes, I feel so blessed to have this feature since it shows every live update on my iPhone’s lock screen in iOS 16 from my favorite team. So it keeps me updated with the live spore while I am working. Apple added the new My Sports section in the updated Apple News app for US, Canada, UK and Australia users. This feature will soon support other countries as well. Let’s add sports scores on the lock screen of iOS 16.
How To Get Apple News My Sports On iOS 16 Lock Screen
- Open Apple News App.
- Go to the Today Section.
- Please scroll down to favourite and tap on My Sports.
- At the bottom, tap on Manage next to Following.
- Tap on See All.
- Tap on the Plus icon next to teams to add for update.
- Tap Done after selecting teams for live update.
Once you have followed the above step, the selected teams will be visible in the app’s home page under the following section. Now you will be able to see the live score and update on the home page of the news app. Also, you can add Apple News App widget on the lock screen and enable the Live Activities to feature to get sports scores on iOS 16 lock screen.
Sadly, Apple has not added the Live Activities feature on IOS 16 since the feature is under testing. But we can expect this feature from the next iOS 16 upgrades.
