This feature uses on-device machine learning to analyze your voice from 15 minutes of recorded audio clips and generates a custom voice model on your iPhone.
Why Is Personal Voice Not showing up on iOS 17?

How to Fix Personal Voice Not Showing Up on iOS 17?
Now that we have seen reasons of why it is happening, we can try the fixes accordingly:
- Check if your voice is fully generated
First and foremost, you need to make sure your Personal Voice is fully generated. It may take up to an hour for your iPhone to create your voice model after you record 15 minutes of audio clips. You will receive a notification when your voice is ready.
You can also check the progress of your voice generation in Settings > Accessibility > Personal Voice.
- Check storage space
Make sure you have enough storage space on your iPhone. If your device is running low on storage, it may not be able to process and store your voice model properly.
Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage to see available space. Deleting unused apps/media can free up room for Personal Voice files.
- Update to the latest iOS version
See to it that your iPhone is updated to the latest iOS 17 software update, for this feature to work properly in case of any bugs and issues.
Go to Settings > General > Software Update to download the latest beta release.
- Reset Personal Voice setup
Delete your Personal Voice and create a new one. You may need to re-record voice samples and reset the voice profile.
To do this, go to Settings > Accessibility > Personal Voice and tap on your voice name. Then, enter your passcode and tap Delete Voice > Delete Voice and Recordings.
This will erase all the data related to your voice model from your iPhone. Then, you can follow the steps to create a new Personal Voice from scratch.
You can even reset the personal voice setup: Go to Settings > Accessibility > Personal Voice > Reset Personal Voice to restart setup.
- Force restart your iPhone
Forced restarting can help clear any glitches with Personal Voice. Sometimes, a simple reboot can solve many problems and refresh your device.
To restart your iPhone, press and hold the power button and the volume button until you see the power off slider. Drag the slider to turn off your iPhone. Then, press and hold the power button again until you see the Apple logo.
