According to the reports, various companies in China are boycotting Apple as a move to support Huawei Technologies. The Chinese Smartphone maker, Huawei overtook Apple in terms of smartphone shipments in 2018. Lately, CFO of Huawei is being arrested for seemingly violating U.S. sanctions by doing business in Iran.
Based on the report from Nikkei Asian Review details show how firms have started providing tremendous subsidies on Huawei purchases along with ranging from 10% up to free devices.
Various firms have told their employees that they will receive subsidies if they buy Huawei smartphones to support the company. Most of the firms are giving subsidies of 10% to 20% and some even covering the whole amount. Around 20 Chinese firms took help of social media to declare they will increase purchases of various Huawei goods as a part of their business management system.

Popular Chinese company Shanghai Youluoke Electronic and Technology is providing two free Huawei smartphone to its employees. However, Shenzhen Yidaheng Technology is providing 18% off on Huawei or ZTE phones. Funchun Technology, a communication service firm is providing up to 500 Yuan on the purchase of any Huawei smartphone before 2018.
One of the most amazing deal comes from Henan Province brewer, who is providing free alcohol to all the employees and customers who present the receipt of the Huawei device.
Here, some of the companies are providing good offers, while others are very rude to their employees. Some of the examples are given below.
“A machinery maker in Shenzhen, where Huawei is based, threatened to confiscate Apple devices from employees and fire those who did not comply. Menpad, a Shenzhen-based tech company, said it would punish employees who buy Apple products. Finally, Shenzhen Yidaheng Technology said it would fine staffers who bought iPhones the equivalent amount of their device, while other companies threaten to withhold bonuses.”
The main purpose of these offers is not clear, but it’s clear that having an iPhone in China isn’t have the same status as you have before. One of the bad news for the Cupertino giant is that China court has banned the sale of older iPhones in the country. Even though Apple claims that it has solved the issue with the recent software update, Qualcomm is fighting strongly to ban sales in the country.
