What’s new on iOS 16.4 beta 2

First, with iOS 16.4 beta 2 updates, Apple Books once again has the page turning effect, as mentioned by Aaron Zollo and Steve Moser. When iOS 16’s new Books app was released last year, the animation was gone. Users have observed that the page turn motion in Apple Books is back with iOS 16.4 beta 2. Curl, immediate, and swipe are the three user options for how a page turn animates in code.

Apple has enabled 5G Standalone support for the iPhone for the first time with the first beta of iOS 16.4. Customers of T-Mobile in the US were the only ones who could use the service. Apple has added Vivo and TIM Brazil as more 5G Standalone carriers with the release of iOS 16.4 beta 2.

Apple’s upcoming classical music app is mentioned again in iOS 16.4 beta 2. You must install Apple Music in order to listen to Apple Music Classical, it says in a message.

Steve Moser, a MacRumors contributor and code detective, published some findings from the iOS 16.4 beta 2 code. Apple Pay may eventually make its debut in South Korea, according to language that is concealed within the Apple Wallet app.

According to another line of code, the Apple Music Classical app can only be set up if Apple Music is already set up. There are no indications of a likely release date, but app development continues.

Also, the iOS 16.4 source code reveals that South Korean customers will be able to add credit and debit cards to the Wallet app for usage with Apple Pay, indicating that the country will get Apple Pay with the release of iOS 16.4. Although the availability of Apple Pay in new locations isn’t always dependent on iOS upgrades, South Korea’s regulator has required that Apple change the terms and conditions of the platform to conform to local legal requirements. With iOS 16.4 beta 2, some modifications have been made.

Lastly, Apple made a few small adjustments to the Settings app’s Always On Display area for the iPhone 14 Pro models. The button to turn off the Always On Display feature is no longer above the other buttons for displaying the wallpaper and alerts; instead, it is now located below them in the current beta. It’s a little adjustment, but one that should make it easier to access because it’s closer to your fingertips.

Until next time, with another topic. Till then, Toodles.
