Today is the deadline for all iPhone 5 users as Apple just warns its users to update to the latest iOS update 10.3.4 by November 3 otherwise loses the access of major iPhone features like email, web browsing, the App Store, and iCloud back-up and storage. So finally, the time has come to update your older iPhone to the latest update.

The major reason for updating to the latest iOS 10.3.4 is that the GPS time rollover issue started popping up on some GPS-enabled products from some other makers on April 6 this year, and Apple doesn’t want it, users, to get annoyed with the issue. So, the new update of iOS will let older iPhone users access all functions efficiently.

If you don’t have any idea about the Apple’s warning to update the device, then here what Apple announced “Starting just before 12:00 a.m. UTC on November 3, 2019, iPhone 5 will require an iOS update to maintain accurate GPS location and to continue to use functions that rely on correct date and time, including App Store, iCloud, email, and web browsing,”

What if you couldn’t be able to update?

As Apple warned that if you don’t update your device to the latest iOS 10.3.4 on your iPhone 5 or fourth-generation iPad, then you won’t be able to use some Apple’s features like App Store, iCloud, email, web, and other services. But what should you do after that? In case if you have not updated your device to the latest update by November 3, 2019, then you will have to back up and restore your iPhone via Mac or PC to update the device as there won’t be any OTA (Over-the-air) update and iCloud backup won’t work after the November 3.

How to upgrade your iPhone to iOS 10.3.1?

If you are not sure that you have updated your device to the latest version or not, then let’s know how to check it on your iPhone- go to the Settings in your device. Tap on the General option, then tap on About option to find the new software update, which should be 10.3.4 on your device. If you still see it upgraded, then tap to download and install. That’s it!
