Time to Delete WhatsApp from Your iPhone in 2021

WhatsApp Policy 2021

From the last couple of years, Apple, other mobile manufacturers, and app developers focus more on user’s privacy. As online crime is rising day by day, it became hard to keep user’s data locked. Therefore, many huge tech giants like Facebook, Instagram, Google and other app makers always prefer to add more layers to user’s data.

But this time, the social media giant Facebook is coming to steal your Whatsapp data. You heard it right! You will have to share your WhatsApp data to parent company Facebook to keep using the app on your smartphone.

WhatsApp has updated its privacy policy terms and showing the alert message for agreeing on new terms and conditions. The alert also says that if you don’t accept the new privacy policy until Feb 8, you won’t be able to use this app and it will get deleted. If you are using WhatsApp, you would have received this pop-up on your smartphone in the last 24 hours.

WhatsApp spokesperson said about this new rule that “As part of WhatsApp’s business vision in October 2020, to enable small businesses better, we are updating our terms of service and privacy policy as we work to make WhatsApp a great way to get answers or help from a business.” The new terms will combine Facebook and WhatsApp information and share with small businesses to grow and connect with users in a good manner.

We know that WhatsApp keeps metadata on every device and several contact details, addresses, profile pictures, groups’ info and more mobile data. The biggest question is, how can we let someone sneak into our smartphone? I guess it would become easier for cyberbullies to steal user’s data.

Earlier, the parent company Facebook joined Instagram and Messenger chatting platforms, which was not a good option for many users but still accepted. But this time, 2 billion WhatsApp users are not the mood to sacrifice their WhatsApp information.

If you are an Apple user, you may think that chatting apps like WhatsApp collect much more data than Apple’s iMessage. We are still now sure how Facebook will integrate this new policy and play with user’s personal data. You can read full new WhatsApp Privacy Policy here. After reading the entire terms and rules, please do a pleasure to share your opinion with other readers and us through the comment box.
