How To Fix Instagram Reel Not Working Issue
Method 1: Update Instagram app
Just like other apps, the Instagram app version may have been outdated and you might have forgotten to update your Instagram app. This is the major reason among users why the reels feature is not showing on their Instagram app. You can update the Instagram app from the App Store on iPhone.
Method 2: Join Beta Program
Even after updating the standard version of Instagram some users are still unable to access Reels. To resolve the problem you can sign in for the beta program. Beta versions are mostly for tech geeks and developers who are ready to test new cutting-edge innovations before everyone else.
Method 3: Sign In & Out Your Instagram Accounts
Many users reported that after doing a simple sign in and out they have been able to access the reels features. So you can try this by first logging out and then re-logging into your instagram account.
Method 4: Uninstall And Then Reinstall Your Instagram App
If Instagram Reels are not working despite trying all of the above methods, chances are a bug has hit the Instagram app in your smartphone. This problem can be resolved by first uninstalling Instagram and then reinstalling it back again.
Method 5: Clear cache
Sometimes if temporary cache and data accumulate over time, it can interfere with the app’s ability to run properly. So it is recommended to clear your cache memory from time to time. 1. Open Settings
2. Tap on Apps
3. Scroll down and search Instagram
4. Under Usage tap on Storage
5. Now, tap on Clear Cache
After clearing the cache you need to login to your instagram account. Then you should be able to see the Instagram Reels option.
Method 6: Report to Instagram
If you are still unable to see Reels or not working properly even after having tried all the tricks you can report the issue to Instagram. For raising a complaint –
1. Go to your Instagram account
2. Tap on the three horizontal lines at the top left corner of the screen
3. Tap on Settings
4. Tap on Help
5. Now to Report a problem tap on Report a problem when the prompt appears.
6. Type the issue and share a screenshot of the issue.
7. Now, hit the Submit button on the top right
