Did you know that browsers like Safari, Chrome, or Firefox offer an option where you can keep your web browsing page private? But how to privately search in a web browser is a big question. In this article, I am going to show you how to turn on incognito mode on your iPhone to search privately on your web browser. You can turn on incognito in your iPhone and Mac browsers. This is one method to go private in the web browser. This will guarantee that your data is not saved once you dismiss your browser windows. The basic idea is the same; open a private window in your browser, and no activity will be logged or saved throughout the session. Let’s get into more detail, shall we?

What is Incognito Mode?

Incognito mode, also known as “private browsing mode,” is a more private method of using the internet. Every online browser has an incognito mode that is ideal for completing any work that has to be kept hidden. It prevents your web browser from saving information about you and your data while you surf the internet. When you use incognito mode to surf the internet, you leave no trace of what so ever on the device that you’re using. Your browser will no longer keep your browsing, search engine history, autofill information, or cookies and won’t even remember what sites you’ve signed into or even what your login and password are.

How to Use Incognito Mode?

Nonetheless, incognito mode is excellent for maintaining privacy on a crowded or shared device. It’s ideal if you share your computer or phone with others after you shut the window. Keep in mind that if you don’t close the private tab then Safari will keep the record of your visited site and activities. No one else will be able to see what you’ve done, as it will not save any of the data after you have closed the tab.  But, of course, nothing will be recorded in history. As a result, it is strongly advised that you close all private tabs before closing your private browsing session.

How Does Incognito Mode Work?

Apart from protecting your privacy and not leaking any information to other parties’ incognito mode often keeps your browser history which is still accessible to your internet provider, at least the browser history won’t be saved on your device or will be visible anywhere on your iPhone. And websites you visit are also aware of your presence and what you have searched and how much time you have spent on their site. They can also monitor you if you use a Wi-Fi network provided by your workplace, school, or company.

Until next time, with another topic. Till then, Toodles.
