How To Remove Frequently Visited Sites On iPhone [2022]

I often visit some sites that I don’t want anyone to see on my iPhone, not even Apple. Chrome and Safari have the sense to keep track of most visited sites and show them on the browser’s home screen. I know that the app will do it to be ready to open the app next time. However, sometimes I wouldn’t say I like it and wish to delete frequently visited sites on my iPhone. 

Hence, I decided to remove these most visited sites from the home screen due to privacy concerns. I did not know there iOS has the option to erase frequently visited sites on Safari and Chrome. It’s so easy to do it; here, we will show you how to do it on iOS 15. 

How To Delete Frequently Visited Sites On iPhone (Safari & Chrome)

Note: Sites that you have visited in Incognito mode are not saved infrequently visited site list. Don’t worry about it. 

How To Delete Frequently Visited Sites in Safari on iPhone

  1. Launch the Safari browser on iPhone.
  2. Touch and hold on to the Site you want to delete from the home page.
  3. Next, tap on Delete from the small popup. 
  4. That’s it. 

Once you tap on Delete from the small popup menu for that Site, it will get immediately removed from the Safari home page. 

How To Disable Frequently Visited Sites in Safari on iPhone

However, you can also disable or altogether remove the section of the frequently visited Site from the Safari with the help of the following steps:

  1. Open the Safari app on your iPhone.
  2. Go to the Start Page.
  3. Scroll down and tap Edit.
  4. Turn toggle off next to Frequently Visited.

That’s it.

Once you disable the frequently visited, the most visited Site will no longer be visible on the main page of the Safari app. 

How To Disable Frequently Visited Sites in Chrome on iPhone

  1. Launch Chrome browser on your iPhone.
  2. Touch and hold the site or site icon you want to remove from the main screen.
  3. Tap on Remove.

Now the frequently visited Site has been removed from the home screen of the Chrome browser. Similarly, you can also delete other most visited sites to avoid being watched.
