Apple founder Steve Jobs’ dream of
launching a credit card for Apple users has been fulfilled with the launch of
Apple Card backed by Goldman Sachs. The Apple Card has been launched to all US
iPhone and iPad users, and now Apple is telling us some fun facts about the
physical structure of this titanium card. Apple is likely to ship the card to
its thousands of users initially. Recently Apple put out a report on its
support page suggesting how can you clean and protect the Apple card as well as
how Apple card is made.
According to Apple’s support page claims that its credit card is laser-etched with the card holder’s name and the Apple logo. “A white finish is achieved through a multi-layer coating process that’s added to the titanium base material.” Apple also warns its users that if titanium credit card comes into contact with any other metal, hard surface or material then it may result in damaging the coating of the Apple Card. So the edges of the other cards or putting Apple card naked in the leather wallet or phone case can damage the card and get some scratches.

- Put your Apple Card in your Wallet, bag, pocket, or carry bag made of soft material that can be safe for the card.
- Never place Apple Card in slot or folder of your wallet with other cards as its coatings can be damaged or it may get scratch marks by the hard material of other credit or debit card.
- Don’t put or store your titanium Apple card magnets or objects having magnets. Doing so will demagnetize the magnetic strip on the card so never put in a purse or bag which may have magnets.
- Just like other credit cards and SIM cards don’t put Apple Card in a pocket or bag with coins, keys, or other potentially abrasive objects.

- Take a slightly damp soft lint-free microfiber cloth and wipe it gently on the card.
- You can use microfiber cloth moist with isopropyl alcohol and softly wipe the Apple Credit Card.
- Never use household cleaners, air presser, blow dryer, solvents, ammonia, glass cleaners, or any other abrasives cleaners to clean your Apple Card.
- Some hard materials and fabrics like denim and leather in carry bag may cause permanent discoloration that will not clear off.
