YouTube is the lifeline. YouTube is the planet of millions of free videos. But sometimes, even YouTube does not work and give trouble to iOS users. Recently, thousands of users’ complained about YouTube iOS search not working. And many users suggested to clear YouTune caches on iPhone is helping them to run the app without any issue. 

As a YouTube, I also encounter some problems while using the app. Mostly, force closing and update the app to the latest version is helping me to keep the work smooth. Also, I often clear caches of YouTube on my iPhone to delete some unwanted trash from my iOS device. I am not the only person who keep clearing YouTube caches on iPhone. Thousands of iOS users are also looking for a way to clear YouTube caches on iPhone 11, 12 or older.

How to Clear Cache In YouTube On iPhone

Note: We tried these steps on iOS 14 running iPhone. 

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap on General.
  3. Tap on iPhone Storage
  4. Please scroll down to YouTube and tap on it.
  5. Now tap on the Offload App option, and it will clean all data of the app. 
  6. You can also tap on the Delete App option to clear all data, caches and cookies. 

That’s it. 

These six were the simplest steps to clear or delete caches from the YouTube app on iPhone. Like Android, there are still no options on iOS devices to clear caches and cookies of third-party apps. Only the Safari section has the option to clear caches, history and data. 

How Clear iPhone App Cache without Deleting App

We are still not sure when Apple will add this option for third-party apps. Since there is no clear caches option for third-party apps on iPhone, many third-party tools and apps offer a way to clear iPhone app cache without deleting the app.
