Apple has reduced trade-in discount for iPad, iPhone, and Mac

Cupertino based tech giant Apple has reportedly cut the trade-in value for Apple products like iPhone, Mac, Apple Watches and iPad.

The change was first noticed by MacRumors. According to the report, Apple has changed the maximum trade-in value for Apple devices suddenly without any prior notice up to $100. The iPhone XS Max used to show maximum trade-in discount up to $600 in a good condition earlier. Now, it is slashed down to $500.

As per the report, the iPhone XS Max shows the highest cut in the iPhone models. While all the iPhones from iPhone 6s to iPhone XS have gotten a reduction in trade-in values from $20 to $80. And, iPhone 6s is the oldest iPhone which is being accepted by Apple for trade-in.  So, all the iPhones that are available for trade-in discounts have shown a reduction in the discount.

While Apple Watch Series 1, 2, 3, and Mac mini, Mac Pro, and MacBook Pro have been remained unchanged in its trade-in value. Apple has always promoted the trade-in program in iPhone and every third customer enters retail stores for trading older iPhone for new ones. This is quite simple and the customer gets a trade-value discount more than they can get from any other authorized store or if they sell the device directly.
